Howdy! My name is Jacob Rodriguez, and I'm excited to join the Board for the Covington Wood Stingrays this year! I've lived in the area for over 30 years, went to Barrington Place Elementary, Sugar Land Middle School, and Kempner High School. I graduated Texas A&M University, Class of '09, with a degree in Environmental Design, and now work as an Arborist for The Urban Foresters. My wife and I have three daughters - all of whom swim for the Stingrays. When we're not doing swim team, we stay busy with softball, dance, and piano. I can't wait to help make this swim season fun and safe for all!
Hey Everyone! I am a “born & raised” Covington Woods resident, and a previous Stingray Swimmer. My wonderful husband, Taylor, and I decided to stick around our neck of the woods when we got married and started a family. We have 3 beautiful kids, 2 of whom swim for the stingrays! Zoey (6), Carson (5), and Layton (1). We also have 2 large dogs, but you won’t see them much, since they are scared of the water! I wish I could spend my days poolside all year round, but I do work full time for an international company in the oil and gas industry! We love this community and the many things it has to offer. You may see us at the SLLL baseball fields, or at gymnastics, as we love to stay busy! Never hesitate to come say hi, introduce yourself, and chat for a bit! I love to chat with everyone, just ask my husband!!! If for any reason during the season, you have any questions, concerns, issues or new ideas, please do not hesitate to find me at a practice, a meet, on Facebook or the good ole fashioned way of a telephone. I will be available to all of our incredible parents and swimmers.
If you are interested in hearing more about our Treasurer Position. Please reach out to our President Amanda Budnick.
Hello Stingray families, my name is Patricia Ward. I currently have two young swimmers on the team. I am honored to serve you as the volunteer director this season. I have always been passionate about this sport. I was a high school swimmer and my husband was once a Stingray himself. Now we get to cheer on our own little swimmers. If you don’t see me at the pool I may be at my CrossFit gym, church, or spending time with my family. Here is to a great season! Go Stingrays!
Hey Stingray Family! I am so pumped for this 2024 season!! I am a Sugar Land native, and mom of two. This is my daughter's (Jaycee) 6th year swimming for CWST, and my 3rd year serving on the CWST Board. My son (Jaxon) is a freshman attending LSU. GEAUX TIGERS!! Volunteering is a huge passion of mine, and the backbone of our continued success. Having the chance to work side by side with every single one of you is such an incredible opportunity. Creating summertime memories and lifelong moments. You can always find me poolside during every practice and meet. Although it may be hard to catch me sometimes, trust that I am only a text away. I look forward to serving you the best way I can!
